Head of Social Media
Location: Hybrid (3 days per week in London head office)
Salary range: Up to £70k (depending on experience) + benefits

Role Overview:
The Head of Social will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of social media strategy at Crash Media Group.
Managing a team of 4 (and growing) and freelancers, the role will be to set and execute the social media strategy and output across all 5 brands. There is a special focus on CarThrottle as it’s the largest (by quite some distance) social media brand we have. You will work across all major social media platforms with video being the obvious focus. Experience with podcasting will also be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team management: Manage the social media team to ensure all KPI’s are attained.
- Video Content Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive video content strategy that aligns with Crash Media Group's overall goals.
- Production Oversight: Oversee the entire video production process, including pre-production planning, filming, editing, and post-production.
- Social Media Management: Manage and grow Crash Media Group's social media channels, including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of video producers, editors, and social media managers.
- Performance Analysis: Track and analyze video and social media performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Content Partnerships: Explore and develop partnerships with other automotive/sports brands and influencers.
Who are you?
An experienced team leader in a comparable (or larger) media company, you will be used to spinning many plates, from production to community management.
You’ll have an extremely good understanding of the video production process and an expert level of understanding of the social media platforms (algo’s, monetisation etc)
You will be part of the management team of CMG so you will be able to communicate effectively with senior team members and make decisions for the good of the wider business at all times.
A keen interest in automotive is preferable as is experience within the automotive sector
Role Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in social media management and/or video production within a media organisation, with at least 2 of those being in a management position.
- Proven track record of success in managing YouTube channels and growing online audiences.
- An understanding of the automotive industry and passion for cars.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with social media analytics tools and platforms.
